BROADSTONE TO OPEN FOR DOUBLE PLATINUM AUDIUM RECORDS RECORDING ARTIST CONFEDERATE RAILROAD

(Boone, NC) BROADSTONE, a Watauga County based country/southern rock band, has been announced as the opening act for Nashville recording artist Confederate Railroad at The Branding Iron in Galax, Virginia on Friday March 24,2006.

Kenneth Reece, James Jestes, Brad Martin & Joe Crisp."Each member of the band continues to put in long hours each week to improve on our sound and stage show in hopes of getting another rung higher on the ladder. Getting to open for Confederate Railroad, a band that we have based our style on, makes all the hard work to this point well worth it." adds Reece

This will mark the first time in the 6 year history of the band that the group will open for a national act. Starting out as a 3 man band in 2000, the band has been together with this particular lineup for the last 3 years.

Reece, Jestes & Crisp all hail from Watauga County, while Martin calls Dobson, NC home.

The group is no stranger to the regional spotlight, as they were selected in 2004 to perform 4 times at the majestic Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina and finished in the Top 5 of the 2004 WFMX 105.7FM Battle of the Bands hosted by the 100,000 watt country station based in Statesville, NC
