While I WAS thinking about voting for Obama, I've changed my mind.

The more I listened to his plans, the more convinced I am, that they'd be bad for the country.

He gets money from PACs, just like the people he said he was standing apart from.

Of course, so does McCain, but, at least he's honest enough to say so.

I'll probably vote for McCain on November 2nd, but, I'm not crazy about it.

Ron Paul was my favorite, but he got hosed by the elitist press.

Oh well.

I'm just glad I live outside the Untied States of America right now.

I know some people think I wimped out by leaving the US after experiencing harassment from the Bush Administration after exposing CIA cocaine smuggling, but, it's really easy to throw rocks at someone whose shoes they haven't walked in.

Where I live now, people are laid-back, the economy is growing nicely, the cost of fuel is dirt cheap, because the peaceful country I live in exports more oil than it uses, PLUS this country isn't stupid enough to try to be the world's fascist policeman.

From here, I can fly to Australia for next to nothing, and, I get to climb mountains, hike in rain forests, AND swim in crystal ocean waters, right where I live.

Maybe if America decides to be more like the place I live in now, and less afraid of its own paranoid shadow, I'll come back and pay a visit, but I don't think I'll drop in until AFTER our nutty Tyrant-in-Chief is out of the Dark House on 1666 Transylvania Avenue.

As a hiker, where you live sounds wonderful to me. As an ashamed American who detests what that idiot Bush has done to this country, I understand your mindset. As a voter, I suspect that I'll sit this one out. I abhor the choices, don't think either candidate is honest, and feel absolutely powerless to effect the downhill slide I'm observing. Other than that, everything is hunky dory...

I'd sooner blow up Halliburton than invest in them...

Just empower yourself by investing in foreign stock indices like ones from Australia, Brazil, China, Malaysia, and Singapore ... also, buying stocks like BHP Billeton, which is a wonderful Australian mining company, won't hurt either .... ... I also own currency trusts for Australia and Mexico at this time ... another way to profit from the chaos is to buy undervalued stocks like ACAS, Nustar, and Eagle Bulk Shipping ... Having a little Halliburton wouldn't hurt either ...

I know what you mean about the election, and I have not really decided yet for whom to vote. Your chosen dwelling place sounds very nice. I am happy for you and the joy that you receive.
