  'Yawn'. . . Hiya

Well, we had a fair drop of rain last evening, but

this morning  opened  as ‘not a bad day’ – for

a while, at any rate. Lol!

In the last couple of hours, we have been subjected to

thunder storms and fairly heavy, rainfall!

British summers suck, they really do!!! Lol

I overslept this morning – I was going to go & get my

I.N.R.  (blood) levels checked, but as I am supposed

to be there by 11:30am and I awoke at 10:15 am(!)

I decided to go tomorrow, instead –

Chow fer now x

Sleeping in every once in awhile has got to be good for you right? It sure does feel good when you can do it.

This is so true Terri, I ended up having a nice quiet peaceful day (apart for the blinking 'rain'!!)

I rented a TV to see Wimbledon in my bed-sit. We fed coins to the electric meter. We discussed if Oliver Twist had lived there. Often, we went to the local Arab butcher to buy lamb chops. We celebrated our honeymoon before our marriage. It was in Polish and Hebrew, which tells you how it worked out.

We lived in Rosemary Gardens and were married in the Royal Borough of Kensington/Chelsea in 1986. We saw a play, concert or opera every day. Using the book "Turn Right at the Fountain" we made several walking tours and took escorted ones as well. We did the Lambeth Walk after we saw the musical.
The tasty food amazed me, because I hadn't been in London since 1973 when it was terrible. I've stayed in London a total of six months. The respect and politeness was striking after living in New York and Israel, which are the twin towers of rudeness. Nice to meet you.

How long did you stay in Wimbledon Jason? I 'think', that Dickens's 'Oliver', would have been taken more from the East/North areas of London, thats where poverty was more 'apparent'. Strangely enough, it was after/during the 'Ripper' murders, that the 'posh' area of London finally became 'aware' of the hardship. I lived 'South' of the river and in 'Dickensian' times, (including Wimbledon) were almost akin to the 'countryside'!!! Pretty amazing, when you think of it!

If British summers suck...how are the winters?

'Winter' - isn't that our extension of 'summer'????

A lot of rain in the summertime, eh? Sounds like the Northwest corner of the U.S. A lot of people like it, but I NEED the sushine!

You and I both Jim Btw, Jim, I tried sending you a 'blogmail', but it wouldn't let me send it - I had the same problem with Lynnies blog recently, I think the servers are a bit 'upside down'.
As I write, the weather news is on tv. - not looking too promising!
Lovely to chat again Jim, missed you You are in my prayers

Good morning! Ahhh yes. British summer rain. Rain delay just now at Wimbledon, but Roger Federer is ahead in his match. Time to pray for some sun. Hope your day goes well!

G'afternoon Marta Well, it (appears) to have eased up - one side of the house in bathed in sunshine (waterey - but sunshine) and the other side 'can't make up its mind'(!) Birds are starting to sing and chat (probably having the 'same' conversation as 'us'!)
I daresay, the covers are being taken off at SW19 (Wimbledon) - I used to live in SW16 (Streatham) & Wimbledon was in walking distance. I worked in SW17 (Tooting)- even closer! Aaggghhh 'Wimbledon F.C'- Vinnie Jones - swoon

I couldn't believe it! It is very, rare that I don't wake up early(ish) when I have an appointment - it seems to kind of 'play on my mind' all night - but I was 'out for the count this morning'
