Well, the Bromsgrove council screwed us! They waited until the last possible day then began to freak about a bike business. Even though there had been no complaints, all our bikes were totally legal and we were a couple of hundred meters from a railway line they decided the noise may be a nuisance. We therefore would have to pay hundreds or even thousands having noise impact surveys done. What a load of stupid, pointless shit!
The upshot was it was too late for us to find somewhere else so we packed it in and let quite a few people down. If you were one of them let me say yet again how sorry we are.
We do intend to resurrect Bikes4rent but it won't be in Bromsgrove or even England. We are thinking of moving to Wales of France and finding somewhere we can live and work.
All this took place in the spring. Since then we have been floundering around trying to find something else to do.
