Even if you can't own a dog but would like to help your local animal shelter find out if they have a sponsorship on dogs/cats. Donating money can help the animals in need.

King asked me to help another dog. As much as I would love another I think 4 is enough and he knows that so he wanted me to help another Pit Bull.

I logged onto our local shelter's web-page and found some dogs that are up for adoption. They had two Pit Bull's. However, Blaze, a 6 year old male dog might not see outside of the shelter because of his age. Although, my shelter has placed over 500 dogs a year to good homes I think Blaze might have a chance. So, while he waits for a good home I have decided to sponsor him. For $150 a year he will get what he needs. In addition, I can visit Blaze if I like in which I plan on doing.

Yep all you have to do is donate a little every month
