  My Dad and Other News

For my dad, it was a short visit to the hospital last night. He was sent to the emergency room because he had a low heart rate. Now, he is back at the rehibilitation center. Good news. He also called me this morning as well. He sounds fine.

In other news, I was watching the 6am news this morning (I wasn't up that early but had it recorded), there is finally going to be a law here hopefully by June, that will give drivers a heavy fine if theie music is too loud in their cars. All I have to say to that is...

It's about fricking time!

I am tired of people in their cars driving past our house with their music so loud that it shakes the house! I hope it wakes people up. I am just surprised that some of these people have not got into accidents yet.

When your driving and it is that loud, you can't hear anything else around you. It's a distraction to you, and to others trying to pay attention to the road.

I mean, how do you know when there is an ambulance trying to get through or maybe someone honking their horn to caution you about something?

It's ok to have music going in your car, but the noise should be limited to where you can hear shit around you as well!

I'm happy to hear your dad is okay. I agree, cars with booming music can be a real pain in the butt. In our neighbourhood the big problem are the cars and motorcycles that squeal out of the pub next door. Some of them sit there and spin their tires until there's a huge cloud of smoke, which eventually floats all the way over to our balcony. Yeah... that's really good for your car...

The only time I like hearing the motorcycles doing that, is when we have the Harley Davidson festival here

I don't like laws like that because it's yet another freedom taken away. I understand the reasoning, completely, I just don't think there should be a LAW about it...
Glad your dad is ok!

I remember back in the 80's, police officers were more strict when it came to loud music. Then after awhile, the police seemed to be less concerned by it. However, it is still considered disturbing the peace (and a law that is still out there). I just feel that I shouldn't have to feel it in my own house or when I am in the car with my fiancee. lol! Maybe I am just becoming an old fuddy duddy lol!
