  What in the World?!

China, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Florida. What do all of these have in common? At this moment, it just appears to be death and destruction that involves Wild fires, tornados, and earthquakes. It all seems to be happening right around the same time and it was the most depressing news to hear all in one news program this evening.

I guess that it didn't make matters any better, when my fiancee told me about these type of things are suppose to happen with "Mother Nature" by the year 2012.

He watches shows like this and he said that he saw it on a show last year sometime and that this type of destruction was also told in the bible..."or at least that is what the program that I watched said" is his exact words. He told me this while I watching the news and it just depressed me even more.

No wonder, I have been hearing stories from bloggers of how windy it is or some other chaotic weather has hit their location.

In my eyes, all I can see, is if this gets worse through out the world, there is going to be an increase in homeless people, people starving, and more crime. It is just appears to be inevitable.

It's getting worse, and it kind of scary...

it is a scary world that we live in. I don't know if there are more disasters, or if it is just that with better and better communication methods, we hear about them more. Could be both!!

Wow..so much tragedy. I hadn't heard of the earthquake until reading your blog. I just don't watch too much news because it can get depressing and scary.

I rarely watch the news either. I have it recorded on my television every morning and evening, but I may watch it once or twice a week, and my home page when I get online has news as well. Just when I'm in the mood, and the one time I was in the mood, it had to be that

The high death tole in the China quake was due mainly to the failure of man-made structures. And besides, news in our living rooms is a recent development in terms of our species' history. In other words, these events are common, it's the rapid delivery of the news that has changed. So cheer up (and hope you don't end up in the wrong place at the wrong time).
