It rained all night here and like a miracle, the dirty brown of Winter has turned into the fresh green of Spring.

My old cat is grumpy though because she can’t go out and “dig” and therefore, has to resort to the trusty old litterbox. The ground is too wet outside.

We’ve had a 10 day warm spell and the snow and ice have disappeared at a reasonable rate sparing us from flooding, unlike most other places - although the occasional swallow, belch and spew of the sump pump may beg to differ.

And, even though outdoor chores and activities have been cancelled for the day I won’t be feeling too badly because I know there’s a world of silent transformation and growth going on out there as the rain does its seasonal magic . . . . .

Here’s a shot of the backyard taken this morning. The garden’s no hell (yet) but check out the green!! And to think that just two weeks ago it was covered in snow and ice!
