  The Penalty for Not Winning

Manufacturing false flag events to open preemptive wars against Third World countries is patently illegal. If they had been clever, the US regimes would have made sure they could achieve their aims quickly. Fighting a third rate nation six years to reach a stalemate is hardly a feather in the military cap. Artificially extending hostilities so long may inspire the offended nations to retaliate.
Liberals happily waged war in Vietnam until they realized they would inevitably lose it. A hard core of Americans insists on a steady diet of killing. I wonder if their enthusiasm would continue if nukes began exploding in the USA.
