Based on his appearance, i.e. small apple-shaped head and very long neck, I've concluded that he is a cross between a Chihuahua and a llama. I've had him a month and so far he hasn't spit on me. My neighbor passed away very suddenly recently and we are all reeling from the shock. There are only 3 houses on our block, so we see each other often. Her oldest boy is 15 and he was my original pet sitter when we moved into this house. Her youngest boy is 10. She also leaves her husband and two cats.
