‹ chat statusI'm sorry I haven't been on here blogging much lately. No, wait, I'm not one bit sorry. I spent the last several days with my sweet love. And I'm not sorry about that!! The slick one was able to come home on Tuesday, got here in the middle of the afternoon. He had to leave late this morning, to head back north for work. The trip will take him about 6-1/2 hours, give or take a little. But we had four full days to spend together. That was wonderful.
We got to go out and play several rounds of golf. I tried my darnedest to give him a run for his money....he only beat me by 5 strokes in one of the rounds. But we won't talk about a couple of the other ones! Yesterday he beat me by 8, but I had a terrific back nine......6 pars, 1 birdie and blew it with doubles on 17 and 18! We both birdied the same hole....first time that has happened to us.
Even though he had to leave, and we don't know when he'll be home again, the good news is that the kids have found a second vehicle. That means I will be free to drive to where he is now! And I'll be able to swing by 'home' and see the family on the way through too. Even though the price of gas is high, the price of diesel is even higher. So it will definitely be cheaper for me to drive to where he is to spend a few days. And hopefully by mid-June he'll be able to come home for 4-5 days again. And who knows, maybe they'll find something for him to do closer to home....that'd be the bestest!!
I'll get out and check up on all of you later today or tomorrow. I hope your world is sunny and bright!
