If we overlook the lies, the misrepresentations, the illegal call to war in Iraq, the illegal wiretaps of Americans, the cronyism, the money laundering, the poor use of speech and hunting accidents, just for today...
I fear there is trouble on the homefront.
Why does Mr Bush want to turn control of our major ports over to Saudi Arabia? What the hell is happening here?It's bad enough our jobs are outsourced, bad enough that China owns our debt, bad enough more foreign lands own America than America does...why the ports?
I admit that I do love to ponder the intricacies of government...this one blows common sense out a porthole!!!
I know during 9/11, Bush sent Osama's family out of here so fast they didn't have time for the seat belt sign to go on...I know he has given certain Saudis particularly interesting positions...lets be honest, Bush and the Saudis are really closerthanthis...
Regardless of how we feel about that relationship, and I go on the record of it is wrong, where does this guy get off deciding unilaterally that he has the power to turn our shipping ports over to them?
Lest we forget 19 of the hijackers were Saudis?
I am hoping that all who actually care about America, regardless of which side of the political spectrum we are on, will shout the rafters down on this one.
This cannot be allowed to happen. Last I heard we are still a democracy, I have had my doubts of late, but I did check the constitution this morning, sure thing there, we are "WE THE PEOPLE", since that is still the fact, I suggest politics as normal change to WAKE UP WASHINGTON...
I am sure someone out there is gonna disagree, okay, go ahead, I do not think there is a way to make me think about this one differently, I really try to be objective in some cases...this one flies in the face of all we hold dear.
