  Article Font Color & Size

I have a few options with regards to the DEFAULT font size and color of the blog posts (articles). Currently, it is a gray color at 12 point in size with a zoom feature that will take it up to 18 point.

options:

1. Get rid of the zoom feature and make the font larger and in black without the zoom feature?

2. Just make the default color black (instead of gray) with the zoom feature?

3. Other

Please give your opinions.

Just a note....the zoom feature does not seem to work when (and if) I hard-code a default font size.

Well I learned something. Thanks. I even asked once how to make
the font larger, but got no answer.

I like Option 1. If the zoom feature is the feature that lets you enlarge type while reading by clicking on the page, that's okay but one needs to do it repeatedly. I'd prefer not to have to always adjust the page before I can read it. Thanks for addressing this issue.

option 2 is my favorite

all three sound good to me...this grey color is a bit hard to read, 'specially for those of us who are, shall we say "mature".

I pick #1, please. I'm going blind trying to read some of these blogs.

I pick #1. although I would like my advanced editor to work. not sure what I am doing wrong. thanks for answering our concerns so quickly!

I would opt for option #1...black and larger. I think many don't even realize the "zoom" feature exists.

I like the zoom I would just like to see the html area not crunch up my html and put all kindsa weird spacing in it :)

In the Advanced or Standard editor?

I think the larger size with black. Then the zoom feature would probably not be needed. I generally use size 14 when I post. That seems to be large enough to see well.

Here is a strange one Eddie.I do not used the zoom but just
click on my mouse over the articles and it comes up larger.
I never used the zoom.I click once and it works.Try it if you
all ready have done it.

Yeah.. me too

Yes, it will zoom when you click anywhere on the text. Actually, the only reason I put a zoom button is so users would know there is a zoom at all.

I don't know if you saw my comment on your profile page, but I've been reading blogs for the past day or so where the text is so small I need to use the speech feature to "read" it. Is it possible that zoom doesn't work with the advanced editor?

Anyway, to answer your question, I'm Ok with it the way it is. Black and larger would be Ok too, and if zoom isn't working anyway, then a larger default font would be good!

The zoom will not work when people hard-code the size (which is what the Advanced is doing).

Somehow or other, the zoom doesn't seem to be working now (maybe just on my computer?). It would be nice to have bigger size and black, especially on the things like Profile and Stats... things on your homepage. Thanks for all your work on greasy, Eddie.
