World Records, Election Rigging and More ...

Good morning everyone, hope you are having a better morning than I have so far. After a restless night sleep, heartburn from eating at some place my co-workers said was "great" and had an old stone stove (their gimmick) and let me tell you, give me plain old Wendy's anyday after the side effects of that! I have to go back to work tomorrow (ugg) for a stretch of nights, so I won't be on as much. Anyway, got a few things here to talk about, doing my part to keep greasyville up to speed on the news the TV won't touch.

Election Rigging 2008

I don't have to review with most of you the problems of 2000 and 2004. I just want to point out that the republicans are setting up the stage again for a re-run. First, they are working hard at the disenfranchisment of democratic voters. So if you recently registered to vote, make sure it is all in order! Second, the recent ruling by Bush's Cronys on the supreme court against whistleblowers has derailed important cases against these hackable, flawed and I would say rigged voting machines. And finally, a federal amendment against gay marriage is again coming into play. Since their candidate is a babbling moron with no integrity or substance, break out the wedge issues and let's again make the gays the political football to kick around. The cosponsors, and this is funny, David "likes it in diapers" Vitter and Larry "the men's room tap dancer" Craig.

Other News...

It's a world record boys and girls! Exxon has the world record on profits. Thank you America for giving them that. A couple Democrats are opposing the Iraq "no-bid" oil theft law. We will see how that pans out.

Another innocent held and tortured for 6 years is in the news. And the court was on his side, since the evidence against him (like many many others) was hearsay. And charges are being brought up against the man who they said was responsible for the U.S. Cole bombing. Only one problem, did he say he was because he was being waterboarded?

More McCain doublespeak, as he contradicts our top military officials on the situation in Afghanistan. Who is surprised here, anyone? Anyone? I was surprised yesterday, by Bush thanking McCain and Lindsy Gramm for their support of the new GI bill that he is SOOOOOO proud they past. SOOOOO proud. What surprised me? Bush threatened to Veto it, McCain said PUBLICLY he was against it, never even voted for it (too busy to show), and Lindsy (McCain's houseboi) was one of only 6 who voted AGAINST it. I was like "Wh-what?!" I about barffed up that magma I apparently ate at that resturant.

Going to stop there for now, I'll come back for the latest on troop suicides, the great tomato scare "twist" and some more. Or you can look them up yourselves now that I told you something new is going on with those situations as well. I am going to track down some tums....

You still evade my question about Obama and why you are voting for him? What IS-HE-GOING-TO-DO-FOR-US?? Do I have to use sign language? Bush and Cheney will be out of the White House soon. Why do you keep whhhhhhining about the past intead of trying to persuade me and other readers who question Obama why we should vote for him?? That should be your goal Have a nice day

""John McCain would kill me" is bordering on IRRATIONAL thought"----that was an analogy...

I have plenty of answers and know what Obama's plans are, but it is far more effective to show that McCain's plans are identical to Bush's policies. America is over that in a big way.

Yes I compared Bush to Hitler, his family funded their rise to power. Sorry that disturbs you but it is still a FACT and won't change just because Brian from Boston with Jewish ancestory is uncomfortable with it. And yes he (Bush) is a homicidal maniac. Iraq shows us that, Katrina showed us that, Abu Gharib and the torture issue shows us that.

I don't need conspiracy theories, the facts are scary enough...

Later!

You know what buddy, I have nothing against you personally however to see you write something like "John McCain would kill me" is bordering on IRRATIONAL thought! This is what I am not going to do and that is NOT read your blogs anymore and cancel my subscription ot them. Every once in awhile I can chuckle to myself over some of the things you say and just realize that you are very young and not in touch with reality. LOL. However, when you compare Bush to Hitler in past blogs and say "generic statements" like Obama will bring " a change" that is telling me absolutely NOTHING and would certainly make you lose any debate where facts have to be presented to win an argument. I don't need conspiracy facts about Republicans; you have provided enough of those to last us a lifetime. What we need to hear other than "change" is what Obama is REALLY going to do to help the economy and other issues concerning Americans when he gets into office. You have no answers...LMAO. It is a just a "marketing statement," ("time for a change" that is) manipulating those who want Bush out of the White House, and the war over to ANYONE who feels the same way Obama does; Obama isn't anything special. As far as the "Nixon statement," I made, that was meant to be funny. Nothing "telling" about it. There are no warm, fuzzy feelings at all when Nixon comes to mind, trust me Will not bother you again, read your blogs, or react to them so don't worry about that. As a person you seem like a really nice guy James and I mean that. Your views are off the charts and way too neurotic for me to even respond to anymore Take care, Brian

If you have to be locked in a room with one of two men, one will certainly kill you, the other, you don't know what he will do, which room would you pick. McSame is Bush III, that is all the justification we need to NOT support him. Same plans, same policies, same lying scoundrel. At least with Obama, we do have a chance for change. Any rational person can see that.

I know, what about that. Loved the Nixon quote though, very very telling..

Oh yeah, that VAST right wing conspiracy!!! Ohhhh...."scary....scary.." as Nixon used to say..heh-heh. What makes me laugh is the "federal amendment against gay marriage" part of your piece. I think both parties are more concerned about cleaning up the economy and where to drill for oil than the GLBT community Gays have always been able to take care of themselves and have won their battles recently for the most part. Gay marriage was just legalized in California so that is called PROGRESS!!!! In the scheme of things my friend, gay marriage should be a "non-issue" at this point. We have more important things to worry about. Just MO PS: We know all about the kids that have been tortured and it is a terrible thing. Maybe you could write some blogs on what Barrack Obama is actually going to DO as President for US instead of contantly verbally waterboarding Bush and McCain Barrack, "the all surface and no substance" Presidential candidate for 2008
comment by brian45 on July 2, 2008 8:31 AM ()
Didn't you just brag on that GI bill. How does it feel knowing McSame was against it? Against our troops? All the while drawing 100% disability? Maybe they should demand him to return that money, since he claims to be sooooo capable...
reply by ekyprogressive on July 2, 2008 8:42 AM ()
Nixon, there is a man with integrity to quote...

McCain already said what he plans to be, Bush III. So the choice is simple, Bush III or something else. It really is that simple.

Yes, gay marriage should be a non-issue. So why are the republicans bringing it up? To mobilize the evangelical nutjob bigots to vote for them, since they get a big flopping F on everything else. So now they bring it to the Federal level, to overturn a states right to decide (not very republican ideal, is it?)

Where to drill isn't an issue, 79% of the coastal areas are open for drilling according to the department of the interior. They just want to monopolize the other 21%. They are not drilling more for a reason, supply is not the issue, and they like $142 a barrel.

Bush deserves true waterboarding, not just the verbal kind. McCain is a coward, who won't even stand against torture, after years of having been tortured. There is some conviction for ya...
