  Share My Joy

My DIL, Ellie called me a few minutes ago to tell me that she will be teaching English as a Second Language in the Moore School District. She taught it at the University level in Russia and has had to test out of the education courses here. It has been quite a process and I am estatic for her. The Moore School District is much superior to the Oklahoma City District where she thought she might have to teach.

This makes it also more urgent for us to move so we can help with the girls. All in all I am so happy for Ellie that I can't stress over selling the house. We have decided to forget it and take off for Colorado on the l4th of August. For Oklahoman's that is almost like having air conditioning outside.

I came here to share your joy. Ah, the beautiful little granddaughters! The ones that are so easy because of their ability to become engrossed in their techie toys! How wonderful! And, you'll have ice cream a lot more often?

Jeri, when Ed replaces some decrepit item, broken,
scarred, in pieces, he keeps it "because you never
know when you might need parts." There's no hope for him.

When Ed and I packed our New York apartment for the move down here,
we both said, "never again." Now he's saying there may come a time
when we should downsize and that is hilarious, since he can't
get rid of anything. Very happy for you and d.i.l. Tell her
your blog buddies are in her corner.

thank you for sharing my happiness. It has been a long road for Ellie.
First, she came to America as an exchange student, married Bobby, had a baby, got a green card, then citizenship and now her teaching certificate. She is a happy camper. Honestly Teal, I don't know what we will ever do with Ted's junk. I hope Ed knows how to dispose of things, Ted suffers horribly when he has to throw things away.

Great news! I'm just hoping my son isn't one of the 10,000 persons getting laid off from Wachovia.

I hope not also. It is tough on parents .....sometimes they move home.

I'm so glad Ellie got the job she wanted. What a relief for you to not have to see her all stressed out. I've got some brass sconces from an auction you might like to have.

So you have been to another auction. Brass sconces sound great. I have a present for Buddy but will wait till I see you.

I saw Ellie today and she is just bubbling over and can't wait to get started. It has been a long road from Russia to the present happiness.

I don't mind moving, it's the loading and unloading that I hate..LOL Have a great time. Congrats to DIL on her new job.

I hate it all and got rid of a lot of heavy books when we moved it l989, but more seem to have crept in. They say 3 moves is worse than a fire.

Making the decision to move is the hard part; it's all downhill (if tiring) from there. I speak from experience.

It was hard to decide to leave a home we love but we want to watch the girls grow up and be there for them when they need us. We dread the work involved but we will recover.

YAY!!! That's exciting! I am happy for ya... I love moving. Can I come with ya?
