  We Are Unanimous

Remember how Mrs. Slocum on "Are You Being Served" always said, "And I am unanimous on that." Well, we got a low offer on the house and land and Ted and I talked it over and we are unanimously turning it down.

It isn't a necessity that we move and being here in the summer is the best part of the year. The flowers are blooming and it cools off at night and makes sitting outside delightful.

My friend, Celeste and I have cut our walks to 45 minutes and may have to walk later in the evening. Rex and I get tired. I still have Rex on am antibiotic and will have all summer. I think that is why he tires easily. He is such a funny dog. I love to see him tease our little sheltie. He runs in circles around her and bites her on the butt. It enrages her and she attacks and chases him which is precisely what he wants.

Bye for now. Jeri

Just becaue it's a buyer's market doesn't mean you have to sell your soul. Glad you're still walking.

Right Randy. We may not sell at all and it is not distressing. We love it here.

It's good you can afford to hold out for a better price.
Where will you go when you sell?

The whole purpose has been to be closer to my son and his family, in the same neighborhood and preferably close enough for the girls to walk to our house. There are other nice features as well. It will be to Midwest City which is a suburb of Oklahoma City.

In Boston a good friend always called my abode a tenement, because I didn't own it.

His wife taught his kids to hate him. He was bitter.

Good friend, huh? Sounds more like an envious friend trashing
your choices.
reply by tealstar on June 30, 2008 4:37 AM ()
Oh dear! nonownership is not my definition of tenement.

Don't let it get away.

We have mixed emotions about moving anyway and we are sure not going to give someone a bargain.

You so love your home. Sure you really want to move at all? Enjoy the summer.

After dealing with the two harpies who are our realtors, we wish we had never started this. If we sell, Ok and if not it is still Ok. I like change and would enjoy being closer to the grandchildren.

I love the babies and their antics...
I don't blame ya for not selling low. Hold out! Like ya said, no rush for you to move!

So right. I wish you could see Rex try to get some play out of these two older animals. It is hilarious.
