  Big Thunder Boomers

I was writing an article last night and CRRRAAACK! Lightning and thunder and the power went out. It came right back on but I shut off the computer for the night. It was a doozy of a storm and much needed. It was so humid yesterday, you existed in a constant state of stickiness! It is now 75 degrees and its almost noon!

I got more plants for the garden, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, pumpkins and a mint plant. I love mint. We used to have it growing back home and we would put it in our tea in the mornings. I love mint in iced tea too and will make a pitcher today!

Hubby also fixed the a/c in my car! All it needed was some more freon or whatever the stuff is. I have gone two summers without a/c and it is killer!

Kota received his yellow belt friday night. It was great! The instructor's wife was there and I went to take a pic from the sidelines. She hollered at me, get over here mom and take his pic! So I kicked off my shoes and went on the mats to take his pic. She told me I was welcome up there anytime. They are just great people!

this morning all the animals came to wake me up. Rambo was barking at me and the cats were all wandering around on the bed meowing. Well they were all out of food and water. LOL Kota is busy outside playing in the mud. I need to get out there and put my plants in the garden. Hubby is still sleeping, its Father's Day after all.

Here is a pic from friday night.

Congrats to Kota!! Nice pics. there!! Glad the rain cooled things off. Would love to get some more rain to cool things off here. We got to 98 again today and right now it is 94 still mighty warm out there. Typical Texas summer for us.

I have never seen kota so interested in something for this long! every day he asks if it is time to go to class. I am very proud of his determination and I hope this will help his self confidence as well.
