  It's Raining, It's Pouring ...

the old man is snoring. That would be Rambo. lol It's a rainy day here but it gives me a sense of peace. The world is being washed clean. And other than fighting with the cats who keep trying to escape through the window, my morning is quiet. Kota was in a good mood, we went over our new plan. If someone calls him a name, he will say something nice to them.

Last night it was just me and Kota. Hubby had a meeting up at the race track for the coming race weekend at the end of this month. So I treated kota to dinner at the diner. We even had dessert! Then we came home and messed around in the back yard. We were practicing his kata moves and also working on his kicks for tae kwan do. In class he does not kick high enough. I told him just take your time and do it properly rather than rush through. We had a nice afternoon and evening. This morning when I woke him up he said it was kiss your mommy day! Then he said, everyday is kiss your mommy day. See why I love him so much? So I have a positive outlook today for Kota, I know he can handle this name calling and just be the kid he has always been. Please, no phone calls today!

I really need to do some serious cleaning around here! I have let it go all week. Today I would normally wash my clothes but the washer is leaking somewhere. Might pull it out and see if I can find the cause. Yes, I will unplug it first. lol But waiting for hubby to fix it is like waiting for the sun to shine at night.

wish me luck with the washer! I can't live without it!

Glad you are having a good day. I hope you are able to find the leak and that it is really minor to fix it.

Glad things are better and you all are getting some rain. I do hope that the rain stops and they get a clear take-off when hubby leaves there tonight on his plane back here. It is sunny to partly cloudy here and 76 degrees.

I understand. When I was there with him three weeks ago it messed with my hair.

even after all that snow you had, you still need rain? we are finally out of our drought conditions! that was so scary last summer, no rain at all!

Rained here hard all night. So you get it next. Get your boots on and snug up your raincoat collar cause it's cold, too.

Mary, last night sounds just about perfect.
I hope you can figure that washer out and that it is something minor.
Kota is sure to have a great day today.

we had alot of fun, until the mosquitos came out! I might have to make a trip to the store for duct tape, it fixes everything!

Rocks in the river maybe? Aaargh!Hopefully you'll find it. The more you practice with Kota, the better he'll get. Is he sparing yet? Sparing will definitely teach them to kick higher because they better protect themselves! Younger son used to get so mad when Master O. would knock him down when they were sparing...it was very comedic!

they are now learning some sparring moves, mostly blocking and punches. he can't wait for the 'real' sparring. when kota does his kicks in class the instructor tells him, we are kicking babies! get that leg up!
