Another storm tonight. So I got some more pics, until I started seeing lightning!

I like this series as it shows the progression of the storm. From light blue to almost black clouds. and in the last pic you can see the rain falling in the distance

Now I have to know... did you try to take pics of the lightening during a flash and capture those 'fuzzy spapkley phenomenoms' I captured a couple of weeks ago??? These are great pics of a storms prgression, you should post them here.... ang on while I get the web address... severewx.co.uk - in here these meteorologists love a good storm progression look out for me in there from time to time

I didn't get any lightning shots. it was too early in the day for the lightning to really been breathtaking. I like storms at night when the lightning lights up the whole sky. I hope we get a night storm so i can do your experiment! I will check out that website!

same here sis! kota hates when I go out to take pics, he is always yelling at me to get inside. I will concur his fear of storms one day and he will appreciate them like we do.

We had over 11 inches of rain this month, all in a very short period of time...one night it was like the "Twilight Zone" it poured so hard... a lot of flooding...
comment by strider333 on June 18, 2008 7:12 PM ()
we had a storm like that about a month ago. everything was flooded, you couldn't get down our road as the river had overflowed. I of course had to drive around looking at all the floods.

Not everyday No, I like sunshine and blue skies 365 days a year Guess I am living in the wrong part of the country, huh?!
reply by brian45 on June 19, 2008 7:56 AM ()
you don't like storms?
reply by elkhound on June 19, 2008 6:12 AM ()
I like the third pic! I finally got a good shot of lightening last summer. My camera takes so long to focus that it's a hit-and-miss kind of thing.... just keep clicking and hope to get lucky. We've had a few good T-storms, but nothing with enough lightening to make for a good photo op. But it's not quite summer yet!
comment by jjoohhnn on June 18, 2008 6:32 PM ()
sounds like my camera exactly! night storms are better, then you can really see the lightning. I have also been trying to get good pics of lightning. these latest storms have been baby ones, move quickly and not alot of fireworks. but like you say, its not quite summer!

Looks like the storm we had last week that killed my modem and knocked me off line for six days. Eeeeeeks! Sure it isn't time to hide under the bed?
comment by marta on June 18, 2008 6:12 PM ()
we had a storm earlier this week, it just popped up all of a sudden. I was online and the power went off. Before the computer could restart I just shut it off at the power strip! I would be lost without my computer!
reply by elkhound on June 19, 2008 6:17 AM ()
I wouldn't mind having a storm or two - It's been a few weeks since the last one, and my Garden's could use the rain!

Pretty pictures!
