Each day in the coming year will be filled with firsts and today was one of them. I was very worried about it being my first Mother's Day as a single parent. I know that yesterday when my ex made sure the kids had flowers and a card to give me definitely helped.

But there were definite parts of the day when ghosts of Mother's Days Past came to my mind. Just glimpses, like an old film ...really old. The kind where you can barely make out what's going on but you just see flashes of almost still photos.

I was also visited by Mother's Day dreams never realized. Except this vision was unable to haunt me because within it I saw a glimpse of Hope for Mother's Days of the future.

Hope told me that her appearance meant I was letting go. Letting Go! She was so happy when she said this as her wings glittered by the starlight.
