A rather surprising number of old Running Backs are on new teams now. I will tell who has switched teams and what the ramifications are.
Jamal Lewis
He is now a Cleveland Brown, and I think he may have another 1,000 yard season left in him. The big problem is that the Brown's offense may not be able to support him. But he is capable of being the power back they have lacked.
The Ravens needed a back to replace Lewis so they traded to the Buffalo Bills for Willis McGahee. They traded a 3rd and 7th round draft pick this year and a 3rd for next year for Willis. Possibly the best trade in the history of the Ravens. At this point in his career he is younger and more productive than Lewis and is a great replacement.
Reuben Droughns goes from the Browns to the Giants to join the backfied rotation with Brandon Jacobs. In the trade with the Giants, the Browns recieved Wide Reciver Tim Carter.
Dominic Rhodes fresh off his police troubles involving drinking and driving, has become a Raider.
