Okay, now keep in mind that I was a white, Yankee, gay Jew living in Memphis, Tennessee in the early 70s where Martin Luther King had just been assassinated a couple of years before.
I was, also, the Big City boy who felt responsible for bringing the latest trends from The Big Apple to the deep South. And this was the latest fad--all the guys were having their hair done this way and I was into Dashikis.
I don't believe I did this, let alone keeping these pictures for over 30 years and now posting them for the world to see!!!
STOP LAUGHING!!!
Okay, go ahead--I can't stop!
