Last week our entire office was informed of a “very important potential client” that was scheduled to meet with my boss today. EVERYONE was required to be here today by 8:30am – NO EXCEPTIONS!!

So this morning about 20 of the responsible few were actually here EARLY and at work AS ORDERED! As I’m sitting down to my desk and powering up my computer I could here,

“WHAT!?”

“IS THIS A JOKE?!”

“NO FUCKING WAY!”

Irritated exasperation made it’s way to everyone’s desk as we opened an email from The Boss:


FALSE ALARM!

To near and all --

The Thursday 8.30A meeting was just rescheduled for later today!! All staff
can come in at their USUAL time, whatever that might be!!

The email was sent at….6:52AM. As if ANYONE here reads their work email that f’ing early! And even if they did, they didn’t this morning so they could be here early!

The Bossman was at least kind enough to buy the early birds breakfast, but he had no idea that 20 people were here early. He thought only about 10 people would miss the email, so he was a little grumbly about that…dumb-ass…

And now, in spite of a big breakfast and 2 large lattes, I’m tired. And it’s only 11:15am.
