  4th of July

For the Fourth of July, my kids went to a barbeque with their dad's church while I stayed at home with our doggie. I wanted to make sure someone was home when the fireworks started going off. The kids got home early and we all watched a movie together.

I went and applied at two stores today. I am tired of waiting to hear from public schools in my area that are hiring educational assistants. I want to work. I miss working. So, hopefully, I will hear something from the places I am applying for. I submitted one resume online tonight as well.

Watermelon was only 19 cents a pound this weekend so I bought two of them. They were seedless and yummy!

I hope everyone had a really terrific 4th of July!

Yummy = your 4th o July.

Isn't job hunting more difficult than is used to be? At least it appears so! I, too, am looking for a job, so I know what it's like not to hear back from those you hope to hear from. Good luck with finding a job.

I think it is harder now to find a job. The process seems to be longer and more difficult. I wish you the best in your job quest!!

glad to hear you had a good one. We relaxed and then watched fireworks from the Hilton.

Retailing can be addictive. I once worked at a local store. Started on the floor and ended up in the management part. I always bought more than my salary. Good thing I had a good husband. Ha!!!! Maybe you had better keep on trying for the school position. Nena

I have worked retail before, but am really not too worried about it because I am looking at working in a grocery store and not a department store, such as with clothing. In the meantime, if a job as an EA opens up, I will certainly put in my application for the position.
