  Busy Weekend, Reviews, Movies

Well, it has been a busy weekend for my children. My daughter has actually spent a few days with a close friend of hers, to celebrate her friend's birthday. They went to the Water Park and had a great time. Then, today they went on the houseboat of the birthday girl and spent the day on some little island, playing volleyball and stuff. She's now, as I type this, with the family of the birthday girl singing karaoke.

Tomorrow late morning, my daughter is starting work at McDonalds as well. She is going in tomorrow to do her paperwork and then they will give her, her schedule. I'll be making lots of trips to transport the two kids to work and back home. I'm proud of both of them for finding work this summer. They are both really growing up.

My son spent the entire day and early evening with his girlfriend and her family. Today, he worked and went skateboarding with a good friend of his. Right now, he is home and on the computer looking for a good apartment for us. He likes to look through the ads. Tomorrow, he'll be going to Kapolei with his girlfriend again.

As for me, I've been doing some housework and I'm reading a book to review for the child abuse site that I am editor of on Bella Online. It's a fantastic book and I should be done with the review by tomorrow. I've been contacted by another author and asked to review some of their books as well, which I will do. All the books pertain somehow to child abuse.

I'm doing well, haven't walked much, so need to start doing that again. Although, I have been limiting my soda intake recently.

My son and I watched two movies the other night. We watched 10,000 B.C. and The Bucket List. I enjoyed both. The graphics on 10,000 B.C. were awesome! My favorite were the graphics of the Saber Tooth Tiger and the Mammoths. Great movie with a great story line! As for the Bucket List, it was also a great movie. Although, I don't know that I would buy the movie; whereas, with 10,000 B.C. I will buy it. The Bucket List is about two men who meet in the hospital and both are dying of cancer. They team up to do things they both wanted to do before dying. It's a good movie.

Edie and I laughed so hard while watching The Bucket List, not just because it was funny, but poignant in so many ways. And, then, without warning, we were scavenging for tissues and napkins and anything we could use to help keep us from drowning from the waterworks. By the time the movie was over, I could say that I had cried as hard as I had laughed. I enjoyed the entire movie.
