My daughter, R, is spending the night at a friend's house tonight. I dropped her off about 11 AM today and then went out to spend some time with my son, J. Tomorrow I will spend time with my daughter while my son is with his girlfriend.

J wanted to get a rose for his girlfriend, so we headed over to a table in the Ward Warehouse. They had many roses and bouquets for sale because it is Mother's Day tomorrow. He paid for two roses that were just beautiful. We then headed over to Dairy Queen for lunch. He was so sweet because he offered to buy me lunch. I told him to save his money for his girlfriend today and that I would buy lunch. We each had a hot dog and then an ice cream cone for dessert. He talked to me about several things and that was a great time for me. When we were leaving Dairy Queen, he asked me which rose I liked best, so I told him. He then gave it to me and said, "Happy Mother's Day, Mom." After that, we went window shopping, but because he had a $10 bill burning a hole in his pocket, he wanted to get something for his girlfriend. He ended up getting her a very pretty shirt for only $6. He also bought a shirt for his sister for $4.

J also gave me a present that he had saved in his room. It is a carving or sculpture of an adult's hand with the finger inside of a toddler hand (grip). It's hard to explain, but it's really pretty. My son said that he had one more for me tomorrow. I will try to get pictures of the gifts and post them because they are really pretty.

After our time together, J and I went to pick up his girlfriend from work and then headed home for about an hour until it was time to drive them to the movies. J is treating his girlfriend to a movie. Then, they will go to his girlfriends house and eat dinner and J will head home by 8:30 PM.

My daughter, R, and I will be going out to lunch tomorrow...just the two of us. I'm so looking forward to it. She tried her new medicine last night and it worked very well. She slept early and slept through the night with no nightmares or flashbacks. I'm so happy it works so well for her.

Well, I want to do some major housecleaning today, so I'm off to start.
