Vog

Vog is like fog, only it's volcanic ash, which is why they call it vog. The past week has been pretty thick with the vog. Right now, as I look out over my lanai, I can see the vog in the air. It's really bad because it affects those with respiratory illnesses a great deal. One of my good friends is having a terrible time with it. It's supposed to dissipate by tomorrow evening. I truly hope it does!

Yes it's been AWFUL!!! My cousin has had several bloody noses. David and i have had headaches and breathing issues. So glad the tradewinds finally came back.

I can imagine that it's quite a sight, but I can also imagine how difficult it can be for people to breathe with that in the air. It must be quite an eye irritant for a lot of people, too.
