Walking and Talking, Drama, and Shopping

Today was a busy day. I paid two bills and ran some errands. I stopped at Baskin Robbins for a treat for the three of us. My son worked this morning and then went skating with one of his friends. I picked up my daughter from her friend's house. It's so nice to have her home again. She's been quite busy with friends over the past few weeks.

I went walking with my daughter and we walked one mile and just talked...about alot of things. It was wonderful spending that time with her. We plan to do it again on Thursday afternoon after she spends some time with her boyfriend. I really like her new boyfriend. He seems really good to her. His mom and he are close as well and I think that's a great sign that he will treat my daughter well.

It's so hard to watch my children go through struggles. It breaks my heart when their heart is broken. My daughter has two friends that are somewhat of on again, off again friends. One in particular always seems to stir up drama. She opens her mouth, says hurtful things, and then when confronted, she denies it and blames everyone else. It's so frustrating to watch the drama happen. Sigh....the teenage years...

On Thursday, my daughter and I will be going grocery shopping at the commissary. We're going to do a lot of shopping and getting the family packs of meat again. It worked really well this past month. Because I got everything in bulk, it lasted for the whole month. So, that's what we will be doing again. It's time to get the bottled water again also. It's so hot here! Sadly, it's going to get hotter because the hottest month here is August. If it's this hot now...we are in for some hot weather next month.

Well, I'm off to bed. I hope everyone is doing well

Kelli, As long as you are tight with your daughter and can talk, she'll be able to handle the on/off again friendships. Sadly, it's a part of growing up and she'll have the skills to weed out the people that don't bring joy to her life. You are a great Mom and your kids are so lucky to have you.

Your kids sure know how to keep busy. It's nice, though, that there is always time for their mom, isn't it?

The teen years are rough with the drama stuff. Thankfully that settles down for them once they get out of high school usually. Sounds like a fun day. We love Baskin Robbins.
