The Belgian politicians are a bit furious, cause they felt Fortis is sold too cheap. Well they agreed with the deal so they aren't allowed to moan now. Last year ABN-AMRO was sold to Fortis for 24 billion euro's. Last week the Dutch government bought Fortis including ABN-AMRO for 16 billion euro. So quite a nice deal. Funny th ... My debt raised with 50,000 euro's so i am feeling like a poor man now. We are just in time according to the rate of interest, its rising quite quick lately. I now pay a 5.5 % (curious about the rate in US btw) for a period of 15 years ( Lol I will retire then, weird feeling). The extra amount of money is put in a so-called "depot".
