Off Line for some time!!



It was sometime on Tuesday that I noticed that I was unable to get online - this is a real inconvinience to me as I am a bit of a addict! When it comes to the internet that is. Between blogging, eBay, bebo and the normal banking and online shopping losing this link to cyber space is kinda like loosing my arm! I feel so cut off. It is a place to escape when the kids are tearing strips off each other, more fun than cleaning and definitely a better use of time than ironing! After , I don’t know, forever, on the phone to my IP I was told that my connection was fine and that it was something to do with my computer! Oh great another pc is about to go down the shitter! I was told I should get in touch with an IT technician to resolve my problem. I did, he said it all looks fine but why not try uninstalling my router and re-installing it again and see if that helps.

That done I tried to reconnect - nothing. Plus I have cocked up my wifi connection to so we have to sit in one place again! Boring.

Anyway back on the phone to my IP yesterday and I was told there had been a problem with connections in my area and I had to wait and hour or so and try again - IT wizz kids and their reboot, wait a while and if all else fails kick it approach to trouble shooting in the world of computer - fcuk me we could all be IT experts if that is the resolutions to most problems!

This morning I was able to go online so I read some blogs, IM’d some peeps and, feeling brave, decided to try and restore my WIFI connection. To say things have gone Pete Tong is an understatement - lost all connection to the net, again! Why did I have to fiddle with it?

that is so frustrating! I hate when I can't get online, i feel like I am in limbo. I hope you stay online now!

You might need a new router. Ours didn't have enough memory for our use--We have four computers in house! We upgraded our router and everything now works perfectly. No longer are we kicked off line. I hope that you can get back on and read this--hopefully, it will solve your problem.

I am beginning to think that as the helpdesk have made me reset it like 100 times over 2 days so it is probably all to heck now anyway!
