I joined an online Bingo site a few months back - mainly joined because the cashback site I am a member off was giving £15 cashback to join plus I received £10 sign up bonus from the site in question when I first deposited funds. Well the £5 I deposited and the £10 bonus were to proove fruitless so I didn't deposit anymore money. Until today, that is. I don't know why I just thought *why the heck not, let's give it another shot!*. So I did. I deposited £5 and bought nearly £2.50 worth of tickets. I was just about to give up for the day when I seemed to rattle in a few numbers in a row and then the never seen before by me pop-up telling me to make a claim - I had won!! Can you believe that I had actually freakin' won!! I never win, anything. Ok so I didn't win enough to have a monsterous party but I can get a hair cut or something! £15 is better than a kick in the teeth and it means I have recovered my stake and some.
Also on the money front I received a letter from the tax credit people who deal with the child tax credit which we claim. I was worried our money would be cut, again, due to the extra bonus' DH has earned in the past year. But I was pleasantly surprised. My payments are going up, this means I won't have to cringe at the checkout when I am grocery shopping any more and I will be able to save up a contingincy fund for specil treats for the kids etc.
It's all good. Here's to looking after the pennies and letting the pounds look after themselves!
