I'm curious. What do you all do when you want to renew your interest in your career or some other responsibility that you know you would never absolutely give up?

I'm not burned out. I'm bored. I'm not even entertaining the idea of changing vocations. However, lately, I'm lacking motivation. The spark is missing despite the fact that some really great things are happening around me.

Ideas? Anyone?

I promise, I'll stop whining soon and my blogs will take an upward turn. Just hang with me.

I can't speak for myself but my older sister gets involved in volunteer work or an athletic activity (such as volleyball) where she gets not only exercise but meets new people. It also gives her a break from being a wife and mother for a few hours a week .

Sometimes one is just rundown and feeling poorly. Elfie is right, engage in something new.

What do you like to do? Do you like to read, Paint, sing? Or try something you've not ever done before. Maybe plant a garden...write a short story...learn to paint..buy a dog...they will keep you busy..or a cat..LOL

I start reading something not connected with what I usually do (even novels) and talking to or blogging with people doing other things. And believe it or not, reading the Bible. Something always turns up that encourages me in my regular work
