Today I celebrate six years of being "single."

On this day in 2002 my ex walked. At the time I weighed in at 191 or 192. In five weeks I weighed 163 and began to eat again. Little did I know the hows and whys then, but in retrospect I wish she had done it fifteen years earlier.

That would have afforded me the chance of meeting and hooking up with a decent woman.

Golf at the Men's League yesterday morning whacked me like a nine iron. I was so bushed last night that I couldn't watch the last few innings of the Indians-Royals night double header. All night I awoke with stiff legs and a sore back.

I have to go out there more often and tune up both my muscles and my game.

If I play like yesterday again I'm going to have my nipples pierced and start wearing pink accessories. (Just kidding, ladies!)

I am getting so tired of the bickering, the pot shots, the idiotic intraparty squabbling in the primary campaigns that I may once again simply deface my ballot come November.

As for Hillary, she should lock Bill up in a closet with a cigar until the campaign is over.

As for Obama: The minister item was a disaster. His advisors should have told him to immediately state that he was dropping his membership in that church. What this says to me is that if Obama can't select competent advisors during his campaign, how can he do it once he becomes President?

As for McCain: Is he still around? Do they have to give him blood transfusions to keep him from sounding like a Bushy? Poor guy. He has the awful stink of those guys still squatting in the White House. Will he be able to completely disassociate his campaign from them?

As for Bugg: She's got my vote, if she can sustain her common sense campaign. Go read her economic policy statement!
