  Progress ... Almost Finished

It is nearly done. That's good because I don't like it. It ain't me. I will sell it at a fire sale price at the gallery.

Phooey on pretty scenery.

I know what you mean - I have a very hard time finishing a quilt I can't stand. We call them UFOs or UnFinished objects. Nearly every quilter has some.

Why don't you like it?

It doesn't fit my style of late and it is tedious. It is all in the gut feeling when I'm working on it. So I hung it on the studio wall until I get the gumption to go back to it.

I think it is looking good. It has a very New Englandy feel to it.

The painting is nice, but for me think that it is the colors
there,all the same,maybe a different highlight there.
Not sure what you were aiming at but could used something there.
Beside that,I think that it is pretty good.I like the barn.
sky and the mountain. The trees sort of turn me off some.
Remember jon.You are the artist,as you can see more than I
can.Try a little more colors there in the trees.
Feel lonesome to me.

Why don't you like it? It's just pretty scenery?

How could you make it you?

Didn't there used to be shadows on the mountains?
comment by marta on Oct 5, 2008 3:45 PM ()
I painted that out. It was in the underpaint. Didn't put any shadows on it yet.
