Panthers played hard but again lose a tough one goal game.This time they fall victims to the Flyers. In a game were the Panthers dominated,well more like Roberto Loungo Dominated, the Flyers come into South Florida and win in a shootout thriller.
Although the game was played in South Florida it felt more like the Philly in weather and in the fan support category's. It seemed like there was more orange than red in the seats but atleast the game was a sellout and they were treated to a dandy with the shootout , playoff atmosphere and the thrill of seeing two of the top scores in the league go up against the hotest Goaltender in the League behind maybe Marty Turco in Robert Loungo. Like expected a topline dominated the game but it was the line of Jokinen,Gratton and Roberts for Florida, who got a goal and keeped the pressure on the Flyers all night.
I noticed several times the Flyer Defense got caught flat footed and the panthers took it to the flyers allnight .
Sean Hill was a force on defense for the panthers Clashing with the topline for philly. Best game so far for hill in south florida as he keeped the likes of Forsberg and Gagne in check. He even Got under the skin of normaly Cool winger Simon Gagne by throwing his body shift after shift after shift. The two exchanged blows down in the panthers zone late in the thrid period and got the crowd back in at. Hill set an example for young stud defenseman and linemate Jay Boumeester.
Young Ben Eager scored his first two Nhl goals to lead the flyers into overtime.
Panthers host Boston on Wensday while the flyers head to Atlanta to play the red hot Thrashers.
