  Food Fantasies!

Okay, I'm hungry and I'm having food fantasies! Living out in the boondocks, I cannot satisfy these continued cravings. It's times such as this that I start thinking about returning to the city...and not just ANY city. It has to be someplace with a good deli.

I'd kill for a good corned beef sandwich right now. Just the wonderful aroma and sounds of a fine deli would send me into shudders of ecstacy.

If I couldn't get to a good deli, then I'd go hunting a Krystal hamburger. Actually, five or six Krystal hamburgers. As a kid, I used to wolf down multiple burgers from Royal Castle, the precursor of Krystals. My mom doesn't realize that I visited her because she lives near one of these great smelling places.

For dessert, Baskin-Robbins ice cream, preferably three scoops of pralines & cream. Yummm. Now I'm beginning to sound like my wonderful blogger friend "November" who talks about food experiences all the time. She clearly knows what counts in life.

Too bad this is so far from my reality right now... I'm sooo hungry!!

On my trip I had the wildest cheeseburger ever (in Rush CO--out on the high plains): pickles, tomato, lettuce, special sauce, onions--raw AND deep fried! 20,000 calories worth.

You needed it, buddy...and I'm sure you walked it off.

Aw. Now you got me craving Double-Doubles at In 'n Out! They are double pattied cheeseburgers w/all the toppings. Mmm!

Y'know, the best corned beef sandwich I ever had was in Portland, Oregon at a deli called "Rose's". The sandwich was at least 3" high and extremely difficult to take a bite out of...but the QUALITY was the BEST!

I LOVE pralines 'n cream! We'd be dangerous eating partners, but enjoying every bite!

Perhaps "greaseburgers" ought to be the official food of greasy.com...
