Questions of the Week: Metamorphing Bugdom

Each week during the Summer Reading Program, I post two questions of the week for the kids to find the answers for. They can use our reference books, the internet, and other resources to find the answers for an extra chance to win the weekly drawing. As it is insect week, here are some questions to bug them ... and you!

1. How long is the life span of a dragonfly?

2. Where do crickets keep their ears?

I will post the answers next Monday, when I post them in the library.

Ahh, let's see...crickets have ears on their legs, I think the front legs, but if I'm wrong about that, they're still on some legs. Now, the life of a dragonfly? I don't know that one. I'll either have to look it up or wait.

Dragon fly last more in the Summer time and they are great
eating mosquitos.You see them mostly in the early evenings.
