Update on Martin

Hi, all,

I received the following email last night (though, I am just checking my email now). I thought you might like the information about Martin and his surgery.

Hi friends of Martin,

I am a friend of Martin's and I'm taking care of his birds while he's recovering.

I was supposed to get a phone call about him today, but didn't. I was quite worried so I phoned the hospital a few hours ago. The nurse told me he's doing very well and just about to get the breathing tube taken out. Just wanted to let you know that he made it through the surgery fine.

My understanding is that there will be a little bit of a pause for him with blogging as he goes through rehab, but he is planning on coming back once he can.

He went in for open heart surgery, which was planned in the spring sometime. It sounds like things are going well.
