Some people should never be allowed outside their own homes for risk of injury to themselves and others. I don't know how many times people have walked out into the road in front of us to get in their cars and not give a blind bit of notice to on coming traffic.
Earlier on today Roger and I were on our way home from shopping, we take the motorway home as it's quicker, the same route we always take. We're quite familiar with the roads and knew we were coming up to a blind turn in the motorway so we slow down a bit, but we didn't expect to see what we did as we hit the bend!
As we turned into the bend, not more than 20 feet in front of us was a car - stopped in the road, didn't even to pull aside, alongside the car was about 4 people watching the driver change the driver-side tyre, they were 'big' people, they filled up that side of the carriageway, ((((((((Flarging Swerve)))))))) we swung the car into the fast lane narrowly missing these people, smacked on the hazard lights as we knew there was a car behind us, that car did the same - swerved and screeched all over the road and do you know what, those people in the road didn't even turn round to see what was going on around them! 2 of the bigger girls were busy talking on they're (((phones))) in the middle of the carriage way! can you believe that!
When we got to the set of lights up the road, it was then we took our next breath, we were all eyeballs and just looked at each other wondering how long those people will live - 'if' they make it off the road? And that's a big 'IF'.
Why on earth didn't one of those people just walk around the corner to warn on coming traffic? Where's the logic in what they were doing? OMG some people are so senseless! Who would have got the blame if one of those or one of us drivers were killed because they had no thought or consideration for other road users. This really pisses me off.
Roger and I feel the same way about one thing, next time something like this happens again, he's going to get out and give them a slap for their own good!
