This picture below is of a shrub I have in a container in front of my house. The shrub we thought had been completely destroyed after our house fire 3 years ago, the roof of my house had collapsed into my garden the rest was thrown there on top of all the plants etc. Well... we nursed most of the plants back to health but this shrub did take a beating; there's even some slate still in the pot. In a way I think the roof protected the roots even though it destroyed the plant at the time; this year the plant burst into bloom. I'm going to have this pic put onto canvass and hang it in my living room as a sentimental reminder because I think little things like this gives us a sense of hope.

We'll have to play it by ear for the minute, I believe Roger has found some cover for the club. I'll be taking a camcorder though, i'll be recording the whole event

It's a wonderful vibrant color, you really ought to see it when the sun is shinning on it

We can all learn something from the resilience of a plant. It is very beautiful.

It is beautiful on all levels you can imagine for me. I'm happy that you feel the same as I do about the survival instincts life has. The plant is a bit like me in karate in a way - it can take a beating but won't stay down
