Move over Guys - Women Doing Mens Jobs!

OK, today started of with few options! one way or the other 'somebody' had to fix the Tumble Dryer! Roger had turned the timer on to hard one night and the tumble continued to dry on high heat for hours. It's been a nightmare trying to dry clothes since we thought he had accidentally burnt out the motor. Well I had enough, once I packed them out of the door to todays course, I went on to clean out the cupboard which house the tumble, I had to do this to pull the tumble out; gees the crap we store in that cupboard - it's all been binned now. Anyway, I hovered away the cobwebs [blush] and unplugged the dryer unscrewed the back off to find the reset switch. I couldn't find one on this model, but what I did find was a load of 'lint' stuck to the motor. It was obvious this was causing the problem so I hoovered it all up - carefully trying not to dislodge and wiring. Screwed the back - back on, and went to turn the dryer back round but something was stopping it turning around?? I found a plastic bag with something in it, I leaned over and tugged it free - guess what it was? ((((My Wedding Dress))) OMG I am ecstatic, Im so chuffed I found it. I must have put it in the cupboard ready to take it to the cleaners! [rolleyes]
Anyway, I plugged the dryer back in and it works perfectly!
Who says women need guys to fix anything [tongue]
I'm happy happy happy!

Waiting on a man to get around to it can last forever. I have taken the bull by the horns and fixed things more than once.

Good for you! Men are for lawn mowing, not fixing dryers! Anyway, the title of this post is soo accurate. We were in the garden section at Wal-mart the other day and all the employees were women. I asked how difficult it is to assemble the grill we were buying and the woman I was asking called to another woman who does the assembly for the store. Unreal! Not unreal that women are working.... but where are the men?

Our male secret is we aren't Mr Home Fixit either. I think my mom invented the male fixit myth, because she didn't want to get her hands dirty.
My mom was smart.
