It's funny how something you could be doing something for years and not realise that your good at it! I decided to follow my sister into a site that she visits regularly and can honestly spend hours looking at peoples amazing artistic talent. I have nothing in the way of painting skills to offer like a gazillion other members in there, but I was surprised to find a photography category.

I've always been fascinated with photography and signed up with the site to hopefully display some action shots of my kids whilst they are applying Karate techniques, along with other miscellaneous musings that catch my eye. I have to say it's exciting me - the whole thing! There's alot I need to learn to capture perfect images but all said and done it's a refreshing change from the norm.:)

on uploading or downloading.

I loved to do black and white,something about this.
It seemed to bring out more of the character in the shots.
Something that color do not pick up.

Your right there. Only thing is - I'm having a spot of bother re-sizing the images, I'm dying to show this particular pic, it's everything you could want from an action shot. I tried to upload it into my photo gallery here on greasy, but the pic isn't showing up - nightmare or what!

that is fantastic lynnie! artistic talent is all about finding our passion. with you its photography! and I have always admired people who can take great shots, the ones where you feel you are right there!

I don't know if they'll like my shots
...but saying that they do has a Martial arts section in the photography forum, it's just getting the darn pics to upload on their site! Everything has to be resized and I hate doing that I'll try again tomorow after I get a good nights sleep

I can imagine how striking those photos would be if you did them in black and white (no color.)

As it happens I have a very old action shot of Roger and another fighter, thats in black and white. The image is almost Identical to the 'Rocky' image in the fight between himself and Apollo Creed, I'll post it tomoz to show you. It's really kool, you can actually see the sweat (eww)
