My Saturday Musings:
My day has been spent fiddling and configuring the CCTV processor. Each of the 4 main camera's has to be set to different sensitivities and triggering speeds to get the alarms and motion detectors working together in different daylight /night settings.
If one area is darker the trigger speed has to be more sensitive than the lighter areas. Plus, you have to adjust the motion sensors to work with the alarm. If all the sensors and settings do not work in harmony and at the right time as each other I end up with either the alarm going off all the time or not at all.
It wasn't easy I can tell you, it took alot of running about (curtesy of my kids) but it was Roger who threw the spanner in the works last thing, he believed he could defeat the triggers by moving at slug speed! He managed to get passed 2 cameras without being detected, Flarging hell I thought and ran back to my drawing board.
After about 10 mins of reading the gazzilion paged manual I figured it out. I pressed a few more buttons, waved my magic wand and asked him to try his slug speed again. Whallla! The sensors picked him up before he even got his foot out the door. That's what I like - co-opperating technology!.
The thieves won't beat my system now!
