  A Stitch in Time

I had my post-op checkup at the Oral Surgeon's office after school today. He said everything was progressing normally considering I had 2 horizontally impacted wisdom teeth removed which needed stitches. He removed the stitches (which stung a bit) and sent me home with a syringe to irrigate /clean the area. I'm supposed to continue eating "soft" foods for another 3-4 weeks. Ugh..I'm sick of mashed potatoes and scrambled eggs. His assistant told me to gently swish not gargle with lukewarm salt water for the next several weeks. This helps fight infection and makes your mouth feel better. I'll give it a try. My jaw is still sore. I told the doctor this but he didn't seem to be worried.

There are just 5 weeks left of High School!

Graduation is June 8th at 4 p.m. I'll write more about this in another post.
Our "official" last day of classes will be June 12th.
Final exams for seniors are on June 10th, 11th, and 12th.
*We have to make up 2 snow days

I was wondering when you were officially out of school.. I think graduation is May 15th here. What about some jello...soup...ice cream...could you use a blender to blend it up so it's soft???

Our graduation will be outdoors this year so hopefully it won't rain. If it does, the ceremony will be held inside -- I suppose that would be the only last minute alternative.

My Mom and I made crepes for dinner last night. We were home alone and we both love them. The filling was homemade blueberry and apple butter jelly. They were so good!

Leave it to Martin to think of sweets. Have you tried stuffing? You could probably try really tender meatballs, and similar things, too!
Woohoo on your approaching graduation.

Thanks!
I had some ravioli and sauce for dinner last night -- that tasted so good after not eating anything substantial for the past week.

Soft foods: ice cream, ice cream, ice cream, soups, ice cream, chocolates, ice cream, malteds, milkshakes, ice cream, jello, key lime pie, ice cream, etc.
I know you are anxious to finish high school and go to college but don't rush ANY of your life away--it goes too fast and goes faster once you are over 30!!! And, trust me, you will wake up one day and say "How did I get to be 30? I was just 18!!!"

So you think I should have ice cream??
I still can't eat anything that's too cold or too warm -- so everything like ice cream or shakes has to be served room temperature. It's Ok though since I never liked super cold things hitting my teeth anyways. I have sensitive teeth.

Well...I'm not a lover of cottage cheese
BUT, I definitely love your other ideas. My Mom has stocked the refrigerator with my favorite yogurts. I've also started eating Mini Ravioli (slightly warm, not hot) and lukewarm homemade soups. I can't yet have any cold or hot foods/drinks yet.
And pudding is definitely my friend!
