‹ chat statusLike a good handful of others, this post is only going to echo the same sentiments that many of you have already shared before. When I woke up this morning, this wasn't the topic I thought I'd be blogging about today, but here it goes anyway...
I've loved and left many blogs before.
After a long blogging hiatus, I realized how much I missed it and so I wanted to start up again. That's when I came across Blogster. I indulged my writer's craving by returning to my frequent blogging habits, and life was good.
Only a short while after I had starting blogging again, I watched with disappointment as things slowly started to degrade -- the new igloo format, the irritating bugs, and the icing on the cake, a sh*tty new privacy policy.
While everyone else jumped ship, I really wanted to believe that things would improve, and therefore, I hung on for dear life. For Pete's sake, I can't abandon *another* blog!
With all the outcry from my fellow bloggers, I was really optomistic, "Maybe if people complain loud enough, they'll fix the bugs and change their policy?"
Well, I have yet to see any promise of change. I'm tired of waiting. Enough is enough. Janetk suggested in Witchy's comment box today, "What if we all left at once?"
This is something I had been talking about at work with my co-workers whenever we have a real crappy day... "What if we all left at once? Then they'd really be screwed!" While it'll probably never happen at the office, I can easily exercise my right to leave and join the rest of the gang who have already ditched Bugster.
I have decided that I have no reason to stay there except out of laziness -- I honestly don't feel like creating a new blog. Even so, I think it's finally time.
I'll still visit the ol' place to say hello and read all the blogs that I've always enjoyed... but I can't keep posting there. It's just a load of b.s.
I plan to copy n' save my old posts on to my computer, so I'll always have them for my own reference, and will then delete them from Blogster's crappy privacy policy clutches. Their property, my a$$! Sure, I usually don't write anything that would be worth stealing... but that doesn't mean that they can selfishly claim it as their own. Seriously -- what the hell are they thinking?
I hate starting over, I really do. But like many of you other Greasy bloggers out there who came to the same conclusion long ago, I have finally realized that I can't put up with Blogster's nonsense much longer. I've usually got the patience of a saint, and it's running on empty. I guess it was only a matter of time, wasn't it?
And on that note... hello Greasy.

This place rocks!
Such a friendly environment. It makes me realize what a ghost town that other place had really become. 
blogster was just getting too crazy for me, everyone going private, the privacy policy, it just wasn't fun anymore.
It looks like you guys are all having way more fun over here anyway.
