Yeah, I'm not sure how effective a boycott could end up being. It's a little like the gas boycott idea: "Exxon couldn't survive if everybody didn't fill up today but filled up tomorrow instead!" Oh, yeah, wouldn't that show them who's boss! Let's hope this issue is solved by folks actually coming to the table and presenting ideas--not trying to twist arms or overlook their opposition.

I tend to agree with jemini and briseis from April 18 and 19. Death should never be considered or inflicted lightly. In a small number of cases (such as rape), I guess it should be allowed to be considered. Casual abortion repels me totally. Tough topic.

Good blog. I agree that Rove's move shouldn't be interpreted as Bush wanting to sideline him. I imagine that Bush's move is because he sees that he's going to be in serious trouble in November if something big doesn't happen in a hurry.
