The weather is cooling off a bit. It looks like it might rain soon and I'm sure I heard some thunder a little while ago. The Three Year Old shall henceforth be referred to as The Four Year Old due to the fact that his birthday was yesterday. DH and I gave him one of those floor pianos; the kind you step on the keys to make music. It's the deluxe model so you can change the instrument from piano to organ to violin to accordion to trumpet. You can also record your favourite tunes on it for play back. It was a big hit. Peaches is doing well, knock on wood. He hasn't vomited in days. I know he is happy I haven't been smearing that foul hairball remedy on his pristine paws. Why on earth is that stuff malt flavoured? Wouldn't tuna be more palatable for a cat? Oh, and a Happy Fourth of July to all my American friends.

I love the piano gift. Sounds like something our 3 year old granddaughter would take a fancy too.
We got our rain on the 5th, but it was never close to hot leading up to the July 4 holiday. A bit humid, maybe, but temps were low enough and it was breezy enough so no real complaints or problems.
Thank you for your holiday wishes, that was kind and very thoughtful of you.
Hi Marg, I'se back. I've missed you. Had some hard days to live thru, but all is better now. We had rain here yesterday for 4th of July...felt good. Most of June was in the 103 to 108 range, BUT, I hasten to say, "it was a dry heat."
Thanks for the good wishes. Even if I'm in a foreign country, I remembered the Fourth of July for about three minutes today.
We got my 81 year old Dad a keyboard that has lights and all different types of sounds for Fathers Day.He loves it.He always played the accordion but it is too heavy for him to lift and play now.He had open-heart at 49 but just started to slow down the last year or so.Happy Birthday to your Four year old.Laurie
Boy, we could certainly use some rain here! It is hot! hot! hot!
Happy 4th of July & Happy birthday to your formally known as "Three Year Old"
Hairball do they have something for this?
We had a quick storm, just what we needed. Now the sun is out. People in the cities are suffering with 94 degree temps and we're in the 70s. The hummingbirds are in fine form, seven on the feeder right out the window here.
