You've heard of sleepwalking, right? Well, a little after nine this morning I nodded off in my chair while working on the Shetland shawl I'm designing. Ya, I know. It serves me right for staying awake for over 24 hours. Anyway, I felt my arm jerk, my head snapped to attention and I simultaneously realized I had just woken up from a little snooze and I was still knitting. Thank goodness I was only working on the central, garter stitch square. I don't want to think about what would have happened had I been knitting the lacy sides. I can sleepread too. Well, I don't actually read while I'm sleeping but I do continue to hold the book up in front of my face. Must be a holdover from collage.....makes for very sore arms.

Just think of all you'll get done....do your nittin' while you're sleepin' and leave the day time for other projects! Novel idea, my dear!!!
That is some skill! I do nothing in my sleep... well, my husband says I make a little noise sometimes (he calls it snoring... just a little).... a very little.
True dedication to your work!
Marg! Now, that is talent! Sleepknitting and sleepreading! All I do is sleepwalk. I awakened one night in bed eating a cookie and wearing my sunglasses! I had gone downstairs, helped myself to a cookie, put on my shades and returned to bed.
It's like you put your knitting arms, hands, and fingers on automatic pilot!
it's not a bad thing at all!
now that's a talent... maybe Guinness book world records?
