  Bothersome Commercials

-The Plavix ad where a doctor launches into a diatribe of side effects

-Are we there yet? (Mantra by the Simpsons, ad for 6 Flags)

-Any of the "Head-On" commercial family

-What's in YOUR kitchen?

-Stanley Steemer (personal peeve is seeing commercial names misspelled for novelty)

-Closet World (not only the lame jingle, but the horribly animated robot that dances above their name...I mean, he doesn't even keep time w/the jingle!)

I can list dozens more, but will end on an up note of sorts. Although I'm tired of the "Hello Goodbuy" jingle, I enjoy the visuals of most Target commercials. No other department store comes close to their stylish edge.

Steve forgot the abominal snowman. I usually hate commercials, but this series is wonderful.

I agree on all of those pharma ads with the catalog of side effects, and those Headon things are just offensive. We don't have Closet World around here, but our share of irritating locals. I like the Sonic commercials with the two guys and the husband/wife; I always back up from fast forwarding to see what they have to say, but it doesn't make us want to eat at Sonic.

Boy, you're just blogging away this morning, aren't you? Speaking of commercials...I LIKE the ones where the guy shows up in some far flung place where he says "I've discovered...the Internet!" and fails to notice (a) Amelia Earhart's wrecked plane, (b) the old people cavoting in the Fountain of Youth and coming out young, and (c) the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Yep. I was bitten by the blogbug. Of course, I was having a few moments in between job applications. Never seen the commercial you described but it sounds silly.
