‹ chat statusI've been working on a portfolio overhaul, which has been considerable - over the whole month of August. Can't believe it's Labor Day weekend!
I plan to post pics of my work on Flickr (see my link below left) if you're curious.
Also have been building my website, which has been dormant since I graduated in 2006. It's been work to review Flash, Dreamweaver, etc - but hopefully well worth it once I get the site up and running again.
My efforts to create this are to land the job I want down the block from where I live. It's close enough where I could walk or ride a bike. The principal is an alum from my school. He invited me to his studio for a portfolio review, as he likes to see what "inmates" have done since he graduated.
It would be so sweet just to get employed especially doing what I went to design school for but then, I applied at JPL and Trader Joe's, so that says something about the job market out here.
We're eeking by on hub's' salary, but am so glad he has a great job at Kaiser - at least to keep us going. Once I land a job, it'll help out with my school loan mainly, and secondarily, replenish savings.
Meantime, it's the same ol' thing... tweaking the work. Have a nice Labor Day weekend!
